Donnaka Lewis is a judge on the Fifth District Court in Prince George's County, Maryland. She was appointed to the court by Governor Larry Hogan (R) on July 26, 2016.[1]
Biography
Lewis received a bachelor's degree from Hampton University, a master's degree from American University, and a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law. At the time of her judicial appointment, Lewis was the chief of the District Court Division of Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office. She worked at the state's attorney office for 12 years. She was a legal clerk for Judge Melanie M. Shaw Geter of the Seventh Circuit Court from 2003 to 2004.[1]
