Donnie Bolena (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Georgia's 6th Congressional District. He did not appear on the ballot for the Republican primary on June 9, 2020.

Bolena initially announced his intentions to run as a Republican but withdrew from the Republican primary in August 2019.[1] He later announced that he would run as an independent.[2] He contacted Ballotpedia on February 8, 2020, stating his renewed intention to run as a Republican in 2020.[3]

Biography

Bolena graduated from Liberty University. His professional experience includes working as a small business owner and professional humorists speaker. He is affliated with the NRA.[4][5]

1. Infrastructure on our Roads and Highways (Pot-Holes) 2. School Safety for our Children and Teachers 3. Affordable Prescription Medicine 4. Offer a Creation class in out Public Schools

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

1. Protect our borders, we must do a better job at the borders, we need to build a Wall, Increase Border Patrol Officers, and ICE agents. 2. Protect our 2nd Amendment and our Right to Bear Arms 3. Support America as a Christian Nation and Protect the teaching of Creation and the holy Trinity of God The Father, God The Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 4. Protect Our Baby's, Both Before and after birth, God is our creator, not our destroyer. Abortion is not birth control, abortion is murder.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

President Donald J Trump, President Trump is the greatest American President in my lifetime, he is a man of God and honor, he put Christ back in Christmas, he keeps his promises, and America is thriving today because President Trump puts America and Americans first.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

As a Congressman for Georgia's 6 District my mission is to lead by example, creating new laws to better our community, representing the people in my district and in our great nation of America, performing oversight, helping my constituents, and educating the people.

What legacy would you like to leave?

I hope to leave my Family, my Children and Grandchildren a legacy that I was a transformer for the greater good of society, i hope to leave a stamp in history to be symbol for my faith in God and my ability to lead with love, to set great examples, and a man who created and built relationships, and I made people and life better. I hope I leave the example that all men and women are created equal, that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The First Moon Landing in 1969 with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin

Busboy at Cedar River Seafood Restaurant i worked there for 1 year

What happened on your most awkward date?

My Dates Father followed behind us the entire evening.

What is your favorite holiday? Why?

Christmas, I absolutely Love Christmas, I love the Story of Jesus and how happy I feel during the Christmas Season

What is your favorite book? Why?

The Holy Bible, It is the Greatest book ever written, it is the book of hope, faith, and love.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

Superman, The Man of Steel and I Could Fly

What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?

The Kitchen

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

Trying to be the perfect parent and grandparent

What process do you favor for redistricting?

A good redistricting process will be open and transparent, that allows our communities to ask questions and give input.

What qualities does the U.S. House of Representatives possess that makes it unique as an institution?

The House shares equal responsibility for lawmaking with the U.S. Senate. I love that the House represents the popular will of the nation, and we are elected by the people.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

Experience is always a good thing in any position, however every district is culturally different, and we need people in Congress who live, work, and sleep, in their districts so they can properly serve their people.

What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

We have great racial division, and we must get control of Americas boarders.

If you are not a current representative, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?

Armed Services, Oversight and Reform, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Judiciary

Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?

I think it should be 4 Years

What are your thoughts on term limits?

I support Term Limits

If you are not currently a member of your party’s leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives, would you be interested in joining the leadership? If so, in what role?

I would absolutely be happy to Chair a committee and I would enjoy it.

Is there a particular representative, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?

I am a huge fan of Trey Gowdy, who served as the US Representative for South Carolina's 4th District

Both sitting representatives and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?

As a Candidate in Georgia's 6th District, I hear amazing Story's from our people who live in our district everyday, although some story's may have more impact then others, I would say that every story is very important to me, I love my district, and I love the people in my district.

I will be working Hard on Local Infrastructure (POT HOLES), I want to place the teaching of Creation in the Class room for our Children to learn about Jesus Christ our Savior, I will fight to lower the cost of Medicine for those who need to be treated, and I will bring back Prayer in public Schools in my district.[6]
