Quintanilla ran for election to the Galveston County Court at Law.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 31.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Byron Fulk, Jack Ewing and Kerri Foley.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote, Quintanilla faced Ewing in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. He was defeated, earning 48.5 percent of the vote.
