Osman ran in the 2010 election for Vermont State Senate Washington District. Osman was defeated by Democratic incumbent Ann Cummings, Democratic Anthony Pollina, and Republican incumbent William E. Doyle in the general election on November 2, 2010. Osman, Cummings, and Pollina defeated Kimberly Cheney and Laura Moore in the Democratic primary election on August 24, 2010.[2][3]
