Doris Henderson Causey
Doris Henderson Causey is a judge of the Virginia Court of Appeals. Henderson Causey assumed office on September 1, 2021. Henderson Causey's current term ends on August 31, 2029.
The Virginia General Assembly elected Henderson Causey to the court on August 10, 2021, to fill a seat created by Senate Bill 1261, which increased the court from 11 to 17 judges.[1][2]
Biography
Education
Henderson Causey earned a B.A. in mathematics and political science from the University of Mississippi in 1993 and a J.D. from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2002.[3]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Henderson Causey was an attorney with Central Virginia Legal Aid Society, Inc.[3]
