Doris Smith-Ribner

Doris A. Smith-Ribner was a judge on the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court.

She was first elected to a 10-year term on the court in 1987, and was retained for a second 10-year term in November 1997 and a third term in November 2007.[1] She announced her retirement from the court on June 10, 2009.[2]

Career

  • Service as a member of the Pennsylvania Judicial Auditing Agency, which is authorized to review and approve audits of state court spending
  • Interim term as a Judge on the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County.
  • Private practice in law in Allegheny County

  • Service as a member and chair of a Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board Hearing Committee.
