Doris Voitier was an at-large member of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. Voitier assumed office in 2016. Voitier left office on January 8, 2024.

Biography

As of September 2019, Voitier served as the superintendent for the St. Bernard Parish School District, a position she had held since 2004. Prior to that, Voitier worked with the parish for 33 years as an administrator and high school math teacher.[1][2]

Political career

Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (2016-2024)

Voitier was appointed to the board by Gov. John Bel Edwards (D) on January 11, 2016, as one of three members appointed to serve a term on the board concurrent with the governor's term in office.[3]
