Dorothy Moon
Dorothy Moon is an officeholder of the Republican Party of Idaho Chair.
Moon (Republican Party) ran for election for Idaho Secretary of State. She lost in the Republican primary on May 17, 2022.
Moon is the Chair of the Republican Party of Idaho, elected in 2022 and re-elected in 2024.[1]
Biography
Moon was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and as of January 2020 resides in Stanley, Idaho. She received a bachelor's degree in secondary education and a master's degree in resource planning from Missouri State University in Springfield. Her professional experience includes teaching environmental law at Drury College, geology and science methods at Missouri State University, and special education classes in the Challis School District. In 1994 Moon and her husband founded Moon and Associates, Inc., a land surveying and engineering company. She was awarded the 2018 Idaho GOP Outstanding Republican Legislator Award and was voted Mini-Cassia Businesswoman of the Year.[2][3]
