Dorothy Pelanda
Dorothy Pelanda was the Ohio Director of Agriculture. Pelanda assumed office on January 10, 2019. Pelanda left office on December 31, 2022.
Pelanda (Republican Party) ran for election for Ohio Secretary of State. Pelanda did not appear on the ballot for the Republican primary on May 8, 2018.
Pelanda retired in December 2022.[1] She was first appointed by Governor Mike DeWine on January 10, 2019.
Pelanda is a former Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing District 86 from 2011 to 2019. Pelanda was sworn in on Thursday, July 28, 2011, to succeed Dave Burke (R), who was appointed to fill a vacancy in the Senate.[2] She served as majority whip. She was assistant majority whip from 2015 to 2016.

Pelanda was appointed by Gov. Mike DeWine to serve as Ohio Director of Agriculture in 2019.
Ohio House of Representatives (2011-2019)
Pelanda was appointed to represented District 86 in the Ohio House of Representatives in July 2011. She served until 2019.

Pelanda won election in the 2012 election for Ohio House, District 86. Pelanda was unopposed in the March 6 Republican primary election and defeated Cheryl A. Johncox (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[7][8][9][10]
