Dorothy Ryan (b. April 1933) was a 2011 Democratic candidate for District 9 of the New Jersey State Senate. Ryan will be running a joint campaign with Democratic State Assembly candidates Carla Kearney Bradley Billhimer.[1]

Ryan served on the Barnegat Township Committee from 2007 to 2010.

Ryan was defeated in the 2011 election for New Jersey Senate District 9. She ran unopposed in the primary on June 7, 2011. Ryan was defeated by Republican incumbent Christopher Connors in the general election which took place on November 8, 2011.[2]
