The August 26, 2014 general election in Citrus County featured four seats up for election. Incumbent Thomas Kennedy faced a challenge in District 1 from newcomers Thomas "Tommy" Corkery and H. Dean Morrison. Newcomers Doug Dodd, Quinton R. Herrin Jr. and Sheila Whitelaw were running to replace Patricia Deutschman in District 3, who did not file for re-election. Board member Sandy Balfour sought a full term in the District 4 seat against Beverly "Bev" Howard. Balfour was appointed to the seat in July 2013 by Governor Rick Scott. District 5 incumbent Linda B.
