Biography
Before his election to the Yakima County Superior Court, Federspiel was a judge on the Yakima County District Court. He has also worked as an attorney in private practice and as general counsel for Wilkinson Corporation.[1]

Elections
2016
Washington held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. Candidates for district and superior court seats had to file for election by May 20, 2016. Primary elections were held on August 2, 2016, for six seats where more than two candidates filed for election. Incumbent Doug Federspiel defeated Alex Newhouse in the Yakima Superior Court nonpartisan general election for Position 3.[4]

Federspiel was elected to a position on the Yakima County Superior Court after running unopposed in the primary election on August 7, 2012.[5]
2010
Federspiel successfully ran for a position on the Yakima County District Court. He competed against Michael L. Everett in the general election and won.[6]
