Doug Hughes was a 2016 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 23rd Congressional District of Florida.[1] Hughes withdrew from the race prior the filing deadline.[2]

Hughes is known for making a gyrocopter flight in which he landed on the lawn of the U.S Capitol on April 15, 2015.[3]
