Doug Jackson
Doug Jackson was a Democratic member of the Tennessee State Senate. Jackson served in the Tennessee Senate since 2001. Jackson was re-elected in November of 2006 with his term expiring in 2010. Jackson also served in the Tennessee House of Representatives from 1986 to 2000.
Jackson graduated with his Bachelor's degree from Austin Peay University and later earned his Juris Doctor degree from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law. District 25 includes Dickson, Giles, Hickman, Humphreys, Lawrence, and Lewis Counties.
In addition to being a Senator, Jackson is an practicing Attorney licensed in Tennessee.

Jackson ran for re-election to the 25th District seat in 2010. He was defeated by Republican Jim Summerville in the general election on November 2, 2010. He was unopposed in the August 5 primary.[1]

On Nov. 7, 2006, Jackson won re-election to the 25th District Seat in the Tennessee State Senate.[2]
