Doug Norman
Doug Norman was a 2014 candidate for the Thirteenth District Court of Appeals in Aransas County, Texas.[1] He was previously a candidate for the court in 2012, having also applied for a vacancy on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas in May 2011.[2]

Norman ran for election to the Thirteenth District Court of Appeals.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 64.4 percent of the vote. He competed against Bradford M. Condit.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 49.1 percent of the vote. He competed against Dori Garza.

Norman was defeated by incumbent Gina Benavides in the general election on November 6, 2012.[6] [7][8]

Education
Norman received his J.D. from University of Texas Law School.[9]
Career
At the time of his candidacy, Norman was a prosecutor for Nueces County. Prior to that, he worked as a briefing attorney for the 13th Court of Appeals.[9]
