Ringler was appointed Michigan Auditor General and took office in June 2014.[1] Before his appointment, Ringler was the chief audit executive for the Michigan Auditor General. He had worked for the auditor general’s office since 1988.[2]

Biography

Ringler graduated from Ferris State University in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.[3][4] Ringler began his career with the office of the Michigan Auditor General in 1988 as an assistant auditor general and became a financial reporting manager in 1999. In 2004, he was promoted to director of the support services division. He was the chief audit executive from 2008 until his appointment as state auditor general.[5][6]
