Doug Thomson is a judge of the Missouri Court of Appeals Western District. He assumed office on March 28, 2020. His current term ends on December 31, 2034.

Thomson ran for re-election for judge of the Missouri Court of Appeals Western District. He won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.

Thomson is a former associate judge of the 4th Judicial Circuit Court in Missouri. He was first elected on November 4, 2014, and left the circuit court when Gov. Mike Parson appointed him to the Missouri Court of Appeals on March 28, 2020, to replace retired judge Victor Howard.[1][2]

Biography

Education

Thomson received his undergraduate degree from Missouri State University. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of Missouri.[3]

Career

Before his election to the bench, Thomson was a private practice attorney for 20 years. He was also the city attorney for several cities: Maryville, Graham, Oregon, Maitland, and Grant City.[4]
