The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was July 8, 2014. Jason J. Hortiz was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Kevin S. Hensley was unopposed in the Republican primary. Hensley defeated Hortiz and Douglas A. Campbell, Jr. (I) in the general election.[1][2][3]
