I'm a Christian, Husband, Father to three boys, and have been a licensed attorney for over 19 years. My practice has been in the areas of prosecution, defense of individual rights, family law, business law and dispute resolution.

I'm driven by my faith and my love of my family.

I grew up working in a family business where I learned the values of hard work and customer service.

I believe in, and practice, traditional conservative family values.
  • Experience - Having worked in both the public and private sector, I have diverse professional experience.
  • Integrity - Greatness begins at home with an established set of standards for the family. From there the community benefits as the standard bearers leave home and go into the world.
  • Hard Work - You cannot control what others do or how they react; you can always put forth your best effort though.
I'm passionate about individual rights and freedoms. Ours was a system designed for limited government and it should remain that way.
I'd like to follow the example of the son who only does what the Father tells Him to do and only says what the Father tells Him to say. I haven't made it to that point though (at least not yet).

I also look up to my grandfather. He's 94 years old (as of January 2020) and still lives at home by himself. He drives and goes where he wants. He is one of the remaining members of the greatest generation, having served in the Navy at Iwo Jima during WWII. He's one of the kindest men I've ever known and he has taken great care of his children, his grandchildren, and his great grandchildren. I cannot recall ever hearing him and my grandmother say a cross word to one another.
I'd recommend that everyone spend more time reading their Bible and living by the principles set forth by Jesus. I don't know that it will tell you much about my political philosophy, but it will tell you about my values and how I try to live my life.
The most important characteristic for an elected official is integrity. Integrity is easily lost when you don't do the right thing or when you don't do things for the right reasons. It is more important to do what is right, than it is to do what is popular.
Integrity, fairness, impartiality along with diverse life and professional experience
Fairness and impartiality. The law should be the same for all, but every case will have unique facts and must be judged individually.
That I was the best husband and father I could be
The first major (to me) historical event I remember is the explosion of the space shuttle Challenger. I was 11 at the time.
My first job was working in my father's dry cleaners and laundry business. I worked for Dad in some capacity (at least during school breaks) from shortly after he acquired the business until I was in law school.
I don't know that it is my favorite, but I really enjoyed The Monk & The Merchant.
Atticus Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird) is high on my list.
Burn the Ships - For King & Country
My dad passed 14 years ago. Still doesn't seem like it's real some days.
I believe people need to be more aware of the Court system as a whole. This particular office will hear family law cases, civil matters and felony criminal cases. The chance of it touching someone you know is greater than most think.
Conservative. The words have meanings that should be followed. Nothing more should be read into them. Nothing less should be taken from them.
There are several, but it wouldn't be proper to name names as long as I'm a candidate.
I do believe that empathy is an important quality for a judge. I also believe that fairness, integrity, and impartiality are important and should be the basis for applying the law to the facts in each case. Each case must be judged independently.
I'm running for this office because I believe it is what I'm called to do at this point in my life. I believe I have the experience and the maturity to do the job that is required with the highest standards.
Not necessarily. I do think it's beneficial for a Judge to have worked in the public sector, but I also think it is beneficial to have worked in the private sector as well. I believe having done both makes for a more well rounded perspective from the bench.
Sheer volume. The Court system, as a whole, is struggling to provide services that are efficient while maintaining the fairness that is (and should be) required.
To continue to provide quality justice to all, no matter their age, race, gender, or socioeconomic status.
I don't anticipate seeking to serve on a higher court. However, if the calling is placed on my life for it, I will be open to it.
No, I don't. I believe that Judges are way more than the rating system assigned by various Bar Associations.
