I am running for Garland City Council, District 3, with a vision for practical leadership, responsible growth, and strong community engagement. As an experienced attorney, business owner, husband, father, veteran and dedicated community advocate, I understands how effective policy and smart investment can improve daily life for residents.

My campaign focuses on key priorities: repairing streets and alleys, revitalizing commercial spaces, expanding and maintaining parks, and ensuring thoughtful development of major sites like Eastern Hills Country Club. I am committed to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and open communication. He supports stronger partnerships between residents and city government, regular town halls, and clear public updates on major projects.

I do believe that Garland’s best days are still ahead, but achieving them requires careful planning, listening to residents, and taking bold action when needed to ensure managed growth. With your support on May 3, 2025, I will work every day to make District 3 stronger, safer, and more vibrant for all.
  • Transparent and Accountable Leadership - I pledge to bring open, honest leadership to District 3 as an advocate within Garland while acting as an ambassador for Garland to other communities and organizations. I will hold regular town halls, communicate clearly about major projects, and make sure resident voices guide city decisions. I believe effective government starts with listening, transparency, and making City Hall more accessible to everyone.
  • Responsible Economic Growth - I will champion responsible development within District 3 that revitalizes aging commercial areas and brings new businesses to the community without sacrificing the character of existing neighborhoods. I support the current bond proposal but would insists on accountability and careful use of public incentives to attract businesses that invest in Garland’s future.
  • Infrastructure Improvements - I am committed to repairing Garland’s streets, alleys, and sidewalks through smart investments like the current bond proposal. I believe our residents deserve safe, smooth roads and walkable neighborhoods. I specifically support community-driven planning to ensure infrastructure projects are prioritized based on real neighborhood needs.
I am passionate about building a more livable, vibrant Garland through careful, community-centered growth. I believe that true livability means safe streets, well-maintained parks, strong neighborhoods, and thriving local businesses, not just more development for its own sake. I heavily support policies that balance progress with preservation, ensuring that new projects enhance District 3 and Garland’s character rather than overwhelm it. I want to champion smart, managed growth that attracts opportunity, improves public spaces, protects existing communities, and makes Garland an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
I believe the most important qualities for an elected official are integrity, transparency, accountability, and a true commitment to public service. An elected official should listen first, then act thoughtfully, and always put the needs of the community above politics or personal ambition. I value honesty, clear communication, fiscal responsibility, and collaboration. I believe trust is earned through openness, responsiveness, and by delivering real results for the people we serve.
I believe the core responsibilities of a Garland City Councilmember are to represent the voices of the people, make smart and responsible decisions with taxpayer funds, and help set policies that improve the everyday lives of our residents. It is the job of aa Garland City Councilmember to listen carefully to the concerns of the community, to be transparent and accessible, and to work with others to find real solutions. I also believe a Councilmember must protect the character of our neighborhoods while planning for thoughtful, sustainable growth that strengthens Garland for the future.
My favorite book is Catcher in the Rye because it captures the importance of authenticity, honesty, and staying true to yourself — even when the world around you is complicated and full of pressure. I’ve always been struck by Holden Caulfield’s conversation with his sister Phoebe, where he explains that he wants to be the “catcher in the rye” — someone who stands at the edge of a cliff, protecting children from falling off. That idea of watching out for others, protecting what’s innocent and good, has always stayed with me. In public service, I believe leaders should act as guardians, not just making decisions, but standing up for the people who trust them. Like Holden, I believe it's not about appearances or playing political games. It's about integrity, honesty, and genuinely caring about the future of the community you serve.
I believe financial transparency and government accountability are essential to earning and keeping the public’s trust. Taxpayer dollars must be managed effectively and responsibly, and residents deserve to know exactly how their money is being spent. I support open budgeting, regular financial reporting, and making information easily accessible to the public. I will always advocate for clear, honest communication and hold myself, and other officials, accountable for the decisions we make. I believe that it is paramount to be responsive and transparent for residents of specifically District 3, but also Garland as a whole. Trustworthy government starts with transparency at every level.
