Douglas L. Fleming Jr.
Douglas L. Fleming Jr. is a circuit court judge for the 20th Judicial Circuit in Virginia. He was elected by the Virginia General Assembly on February 25, 2015, effective July 1, 2015.[1] His eight-year term will expire on June 30, 2023.[2][3]
Education
Fleming received his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and his J.D. from the College of William and Mary School of Law in 1982.[1][4]
Career
Prior to joining the court in 2015, Fleming worked as an attorney in general civil and criminal law in Loudon County for over 30 years. He also previously practiced law with the firm of Hanes, Sevila, Saunders & McCahill and served as a substitute district court judge from 1992 to 2011.[1]
