Douglas Tallman
Douglas Tallman was a judge for the Fifteenth Judicial District Court in Colorado. He was appointed to the court by former Governor Bill Owens in January of 2003.[1] Tallman retired on October 2, 2015.[2]
Education
Tallman received his J.D. degree from the University of Denver in 1973.[1]
Career
Tallman served on the Cheyenne County Court from April of 1987 until he was appointed to the district court in 2003. In addition to his legal career, Tallman is a farmer and a high school basketball coach.[1]
Elections
2012
Tallman was retained to the Fifteenth Judicial District Court in the general election on November 6, winning 69.80 percent of the vote.[3]

Judicial performance evaluation
The Fifteenth Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance announced its recommendations for judges up for retention in 2012. According to its website, the commission evaluates judges based on the following criteria: integrity, legal knowledge, communication skills, judicial temperament, and administrative performance.
Judge Tallman was recommended for retention by an unanimous vote. [4]
