Douglas Wallace
Douglas A. Wallace was a judge on the Florida Second District Court of Appeal. He was appointed by Republican Governor Jeb Bush and joined the court on June 9, 2003.[1] He retired from the court in 2017.[2]
Judge Wallace was retained by voters on November 2, 2004, on November 2, 2010, and again on November 8, 2016, for a term that would have expired on January 2, 2023.[3][4]
Education
Wallace earned his B.A. from Princeton University in 1969 and received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1972.[1]
Career
Wallace practiced law with his father in Bradenton from 1972 to 1974. He continued as a sole practitioner until his appointment to the court of appeal in 2003. From 1975 to 1978, he worked part-time in the appellate divisions of the 12th and 10th Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Offices.[1]
