Douglas Yongue
Douglas Yongue (b. March 20, 1937) was a Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives. He represented District 46 since being appointed in February 1994 until 2011.
Yongue received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from East Carolina University in, respectively, 1959 and 1960. He earned his Education Doctorate degree from Nova University in 1986. He is a retired consultant, general contractor, principal, superintendent and teacher. Yongue is married to Mildred.

2010
Yongue was defeated in the November 2, 2010, general election. He had no primary opposition but was challenged by Gaston Pridgen (R) in the general election.

On November 4, 2008, Yongue won re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives.[1] $27,657 was raised for this campaign.[2] He ran unopposed.
