Doyle Carter
Doyle Carter (Republican Party) was a member of the Jacksonville City Council in Florida, representing District 12. Carter assumed office in 2011. Carter left office in 2018.
Carter (Republican Party) ran in a special election for Duval County Tax Collector in Florida. Carter lost in the special general election on August 28, 2018.
Carter was a Republican member of the Jacksonville City Council in Florida, representing District 12 from 1999 to 2003 and from 2011 to 2018.[1] Carter resigned from the city council to run for Duval County Tax Collector. He was suceeded by Randy White, who was sworn into office September 5, 2018.[2][3]

2015
The city of Jacksonville, Florida, held elections for mayor and city council on May 19, 2015. A primary took place on March 24, 2015. Because one candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote in the primary election for District 12, its general election was canceled. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was January 16, 2015. All 19 city council seats were up for election.[4]
In the primary election for District 12, incumbent Doyle Carter (R) defeated Abner Davis (D).[5][6]
