I am Duane Shukoski and running in the Neenah, Menasha, Fox Crossing and Appleton area. I was born and raised in Neenah and the youngest of 13 kids and grew up in foster care. I started my 37 year career at Kimberly-Clark as a union paper-worker and worked my way up to an Environmental Leader at Kimberly-Clark. I’m running for Assembly because I am not a career politician. I will bring a working class perspective as someone who has struggled to make ends meet.
  • I will fight for reproductive freedom and repeal Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban. I believe this decision should be left to a woman and their physician. A politician does not belong in the doctor’s office.
  • I will work tirelessly to adequately fund our public schools, colleges, universities, and tech schools.
  • It is far past time we expand access to quality health care services to ensure everyone can receive preventive health services.
For far too long we have underfunded our public schools in Wisconsin. We need to work together to fully fund public school budgets to ensure we are setting up our students for success. Republicans have underfunded our public schools, colleges, universities, and Tech schools.

Wisconsin is 1 of 10 states who haven’t taken Medicaid Expansion, costing Wisconsin $1.7 billion and affecting coverage for 90,000 Wisconsinites. It is far past time we expand access to quality health care services to ensure everyone can receive preventive health services.

Across Wisconsin, families are struggling to find affordable and accessible child care for their children. We must find long-term solutions to support our childcare industry
An elected official needs to care about the community they are representing and have an open door policy. I want to hear from residents in the district about the issues they are facing. I will reach across the aisle so we can work together to provide meaningful solutions to better the lives of all Wisconsinites.
I'm always interested in problem solving and leaving things better than I found them, such as the environment. During my employment at Kimberly Clark for 37 years, the team structure and commitment to team principles, along with tools to ensure inclusion, respect and ethics have been my norm for over three decades greatly impacted me.
I loaded delivery trucks for 7-UP bottling in Oshkosh—age 16. I was employed there for 12 months
We need to work together and have open discussions on areas where we disagree to find areas that we can compromise on.
I would introduce a bill to repeal ACT 10 and the Right to Work to return bargaining power to our unions.
