For nearly two decades, Dumont has worked in marketing and communications, helping nonprofits uplift voices and bring communities together. Throughout his career, he has seen firsthand the power of words and embraces his responsibility to use them to educate, empower, and elevate.

Raised in central Virginia, Dumont was brought up by his mother after his father’s passing and surrounded by a loving extended family that emphasized education, service, and community.

Today, Dumont carries the torch first lit by his grandparents more than 70 years ago in rural Virginia—a legacy of courage, conviction, and commitment to others that his parents continued through their own advocacy and leadership. Now, it’s his turn to continue that work and build on their example.

Dumont’s vision begins with a simple truth: every person deserves access to dignified work, access to a quality education, and the ability to feel safe in their community.
  • Cost of Living- My number one priority under the Gold Dome is lowering costs. Georgians are working more and more while earning less and less. I’ll fight for practical solutions to lower everyday costs, make housing more affordable, and help every family in District 46 thrive.
  • Affordable Healthcare - Regardless of your ZIP code, every Georgian deserves access to quality, affordable health care. I’ll cut medical costs, expand coverage to millions of Georgians, and strengthen wraparound services for Georgia families.
  • Education Access - Our focus has to be on what really matters - improving literacy, reducing class sizes, fully funding our public schools, and paying our teachers what they deserve. I’ll make sure that our communities and educators are in the driver’s seat when it comes to education in Georgia.
The most important principle for an elected official is a deep commitment to serving the community. Public service requires humility and a genuine sense of servitude—putting people’s needs ahead of personal ambition. An effective leader should lead with compassion, have the courage to stand up for what is right, and bring passion to the work of improving people’s lives. Gratitude for the trust placed in them by their constituents should guide every decision they make.
The core responsibility of someone elected to this office is to serve the people residing in HD46. This means staying in regular contact with constituents to understand their priorities, concerns, and lived experiences. An elected official should center their work on the issues facing the community and make decisions based on what will have the greatest positive impact on people’s daily lives. It is also their responsibility to advance policies and partnerships that help everyone in the district live healthier, more secure, and more productive lives.
My greatest legacy will be the example I set for my children. I want them to look back and say that I modeled what it means to be an engaged, principled citizen—someone who used their skills, voice, and talents to stand up for their beliefs and to elevate and protect the people around them. I want them to remember a father who led with compassion, who showed courage even in moments of fear or isolation, and who understood that doing what is right is not always easy, but is always necessary.

Ultimately, my hope is that these values are not just lessons I spoke about, but ones my children learned by watching how my wife and I lived our lives—through our service, our choices, and our commitment to our community. If they carry those values forward and become thoughtful, active, and caring members of society, that will be the legacy I am most proud of.
My first job was cutting grass for a local college during the summer. It was physically demanding work that instilled in me a deep respect for manual labor, the dignity of earning a paycheck, and the importance of saving and planning for the future.
