Durenda Lawson
Durenda Lawson was a family court judge for the Laurel and Knox Counties Family Court of the 27th Judicial Circuit in Kentucky. She was elected to the court on November 7, 2006.[1][2]
Lawson ran for re-election to the 27th Judicial Circuit in 2014, but she was defeated in the May 20 primary.[3][4] Her last term expired on January 4, 2015.[5]

Primary: She was defeated in the primary on May 20, 2014, receiving 29.6 percent of the vote. She competed against Marilyn Benge McGhee and Stephen M. Jones.

Education
Lawson received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Kentucky University and her J.D. degree from the University of Louisville School of Law.[6]
Career
Before her election to the court, Lawson served as a domestic relations commissioner. She also previously served as an assistant county attorney for Knox County.[2]
