I was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. I have lived in 4 different houses throughout my life, all of which have been within a 5.5 mile radius. I grew up with a love for the outdoors, and what better place to be with a love for the outdoors than the beautiful state of Colorado! I have never had a desire to live anywhere else. Colorado is my home, and Colorado is where I want to stay! I was raised in an average middle class family. For almost as long as I can remember, both of my parents have worked, most of the time with more than one job in order to make things meet. I didn't grow up getting everything I wanted, and I was expected to do my share around the house. Sometimes we struggled, but I wouldn't change any of it. These experiences taught me how important it is to have a good work ethic, I was able to learn how to do nearly anything needed in order to fix and maintain the house, and I was taught at a young age how to manage money. I was taught how to shop second hand and sales, and most importantly, how to stick to a budget. These are all valuable skills that I have already used so many times throughout my life. Today I am married to my lovely wife Katherine and we have 2 kids; Cooper who is 1, and baby boy number 2 who is due in September! We are currently living in a basement apartment, but hope to be buying a home in the near future! I greatly enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering with Awana, kayaking, and spending time outdoors.
  • Faith - Dustin is a firm believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. He was born and raised in a Christian home, and through Awana made his faith his own and developed a personal relationship with God. Dustin attended Awana from Pre-school through Highschool, and earned the highest award possible, the Citation award.
  • Family - Dustin is a true family man. He has been married to his beautiful wife Katherine for over 2 years, and has two kids; Cooper age 1, and a new baby boy who is due in September! Dustin loves spending all the time he can with his family, and makes family a main priority in his life.
  • Freedom - Dustin strongly believes that America's freedoms are what make us such a great nation. He will fight to keep the freedoms that have been granted to us since the foundation of our wonderful country.
I am against mandatory vaccinations, and all abortions. I am a proud supporter of the Constitution, and would defend the people's rights especially in regards to religious freedom and second amendment rights
The earliest major historical event that happened in my lifetime was 9/11, I was only six years old at the time, so I don't have a perfectly clear memory of it. However, I do remember that through the fear and sadness that everyone was experiencing nationwide, that rather that the nation dividing it's self, we became stronger. That is the America that I believe in.
My first job was was as an assistant instructor for a small martial arts business, I held this job for nearly two years.
No, I believe that the Republic that our founding fathers created for our nation was made to be run by the average person. I believe that it is time that we return to our roots, and allow the average American to make the choices that affect our state, rather than trusting it to those who have made a career out of politics. I am currently working a forty hour a week job, and I plan to return to that job following my service should I be elected.
Possibly, if I feel it becomes necessary, but not before taking time to enter into the workforce again so as to not forget whom I am representing.
