Campaign themes

2014

Davis explained themes for his 2014 campaign in an interview with the Rowlett Lakeshore Times:

I think some of the most important issues facing Garland ISD are teacher retention of highly qualified teachers and preparing students for 21st century jobs. Other issues facing GISD are facility repairs and needed upgrades throughout the district for aging buildings and equipment, and providing current technology and training for teachers and students.
