Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer (R) appointed Keen to the Kansas Corporation Commission on March 30, 2018. He was confirmed by the Kansas State Senate on April 7, 2018.[1][2] Keen was elected chairman of the commission on January 17, 2019.

Biography

Keen previously served as the securities commissioner of Kansas. He also worked for the Kansas Commission on Veterans Affairs for five years and on the Kansas Board of Tax Appeals for four years. He is co-owner and operations manager of Keen Oil Company, LLC.[3]

Keen was confirmed as a member of the Kansas Corporation Commission on April 7, 2018. He was appointed to the commission by Gov. Brownback in March 2018, after former commissioner Pat Apple's term expired.[4][2][1] His term expired on March 15, 2022.[5]

Keen was elected chairman of the commission on January 17, 2019.[5]
