Bennett did not seek re-election in 2012.[2]
2010
Bennett won re-election to the 32nd District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. Bennett defeated Beth Buzzell Miller (R) and William McVay (L) in the November 2, 2010, general election.[3]

On November 4, 2008, Bennett won election to the Delaware House of Representatives from Delaware's 32nd District, defeating Donna Stone (R). Bennett received 3,742 votes in the election while Stone received 2,820 votes.[4] Bennett raised $65,924 for his campaign; Stone raised $75,130.[5]
