E. J. Pipkin
E.J. Pipkin is a former Republican member of the Maryland State Senate, representing District 36. He was first elected to the chamber in 2002. He resigned from the Senate on August 12, 2013 to earn a master's degree in sports management from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.[1] He served as the Senate Minority Leader from 2011 until his resignation.[2]
Biography
Pipkin earned his B.A. from Roanoke College and his M.A. in business from the University of Virginia.[3]

Pipkin ran for re-election to the 36th District seat in 2010. He defeated Donald Alcorn in the primary on September 14, 2010. Pipkin defeated Steven Mumford in the general election on November 2, 2010.[4]
