An Eagle River Fire District Levy Increase measure was on the November 1, 2011 ballot in the Eagle River fire district area of Eagle County.

This measure was defeated

  • YES 2,063 (44.91%)
  • NO 2,531 (55.09%)Defeatedd[1]

This measure sought to increase the district property tax in order to cover budget deficits for the district. Fire officials noted that with the decrease in property tax assessments, their funds have also decreased leading them to have to cut fire fighting positions and possibly close fire stations if this measure is not approved.[2]
