An East Jackson Community School District Levy Increase proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Jackson County, which is in Michigan where it was approved.
This proposal authorized the East Jackson Community School District to increase the property taxes by 18.1158 mills ($18.1158 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for 6 years in order to fund operating costs. The estimated first year revenue from this tax was $1,628,967.[1]
