An East Liverpool City Electrical Aggregation Question was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the city of East Liverpool which is in Columbiana County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 686 (61.91%)Approveda
  • NO 422 (38.09%)[1]

This measure sought to aggregate the city's electricity, allowing the city to buy electricity in bulk so as to save residents money on their bills. Residents will have the option to opt out of the program since it was approved. The city would make an agreement with FirstEnergy on behalf of residents. Studies done for other cities that have implemented this program have shown that near 80 percent of residents choose to opt into the aggregation program.[2]
