My name is Ebizimo “Zee” Nagberi, and I am running for City Council Member-at-Large. In 2015, my family and I relocated to Ramsey to enjoy a balanced lifestyle blending urban conveniences with rural tranquility. This decision provided an invaluable opportunity for our family that allowed us to truly find our community.

I have been married to my wife, Jessica, for the past 23 years. We have 3 beautiful children who are all currently attending different universities across the states. We also have had the opportunity to adopt two dogs during our time in Ramsey. During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, attending weekly bible studies, volunteering, and watching whatever soccer game is on TV.

As an immigrant to the US, I fully understand chasing the American Dream. I have dedicated myself to diligently establishing and growing our family business from the ground up since 2002. I understand how important community and opportunity is and that is why I try and dedicate my time to creating meaningful connections and giving back where needed.

Through the busyness of life, I make time to volunteer and currently sit on two active boards. One as the Vice President of the FBI Minneapolis Citizens Academy Alumni Association and as the Vice President of NIDOA Board of Trustees. I feel that my experience of these, as well as other boards that I have participated on previously, would be a great asset to my position with the City Council.
  • I commit to supporting responsible development that improves the infrastructure of our city without degrading the beauty of our surrounding environment. I will give great attention to projects that help all locals, whether it's enhancing transportation systems or promoting sustainable growth.
  • I understand how crucial it is for building a welcoming and safe community. I believe in pursuing initiatives that promote proactive public safety. This entails growing neighborhood watch, emergency preparedness, and mental health training and support programs in the community. We can strengthen community ties and make Ramsey a safer place for everyone by empowering citizens and first responders.
  • My platform also rests on the pillar of economic vitality. In order to support current businesses and draw in new ones, I will work with local companies. We can boost employment growth and fortify our economy by encouraging entrepreneurship and fostering an atmosphere that is beneficial to business.

An effective elected official must embody integrity, accountability, and a commitment to public service, prioritizing the common good over personal interests.
My primary duties as a Member-at-Large of the City Council are to faithfully represent all Ramsey citizens, promoting their various needs through well-informed policy-making and responsible financial oversight. In order to promote open communication and moral leadership, I'm dedicated to encouraging accountability and transparency in council decisions. Actively involved in the community, I place a high value on communication and cooperation between council members, city employees, and citizens in order to effectively address issues and advance Ramsey's development while maintaining its distinctive identity.
As an immigrant to the United States, the legacy I aspire to leave is one inspired by my journey and the values instilled by my family. Arriving in a new country meant embracing opportunity while honoring the sacrifices that brought me here. My legacy would reflect resilience, embodying the determination to build a better life through hard work and perseverance.
