Campaign themes

White's main issue was advocating for adequate funding for public education. According to White, “state funding for public education is unequal in the state of Texas. There is a large difference in the amount of money being spent per student in districts across the state.” He continued that, “not only is there a lack of equity in the funding per student, but the funding is also inadequate to provide all of the resources needed for an excellent educational system.”[2]
