Eddie Roberson
Eddie Roberson is a former director and chairman of the Tennessee Regulatory Authority. He was first hired by the Public Service Commission, the predecessor of the Tennessee Regulatory Authority, in 1975. He was appointed to the regulatory authority in 2006 by then-Governor Phil Bredesen and re-appointed in 2008. He tendered his resignation from the authority, effective October 1, 2011.[1]
Biography
Roberson was born in Nashville in 1952. The son of a minister, his family moved to Chattanooga in 1960, where he attended Chattanooga public schools. Roberson studied at the University of Tennessee and Tennessee State University, ultimately earning a Ph.D. in public administration. He is a Rule 31 mediator, and was twice elected to the Chattanooga School Board.
Roberson began work for the Public Service Commission in 1975. He was appointed Chief of the Consumer Services Division in 1989, and served as its executive director from 1995 - 1996.[2]

Roberson lives in Hendersonville, where he is an elder of the Church of God and a member of the Hendersonville Rotary Club. He and his wife have two daughters.
