2016
Two of the seven seats on the Mesquite Independent School District Board of Trustees were up for by district general election on May 7, 2016. Place 1 incumbent Archimedes Faulkner was the sole candidate to file for re-election to the seat. Place 2 incumbent Cary Tanamachi opted not to seek re-election, allowing newcomer Eddie Rose to run unopposed for the seat. The district canceled the election due to a lack of opposition.[1]
