Edgar Malepeai
Edgar J. Malepeai (born August 7, 1950) is a former Democratic member of the Idaho State Senate, representing District 30 from 2002 to 2012. He served as State Senate Minority Leader from 2011 to 2012.
In addition to being a Senator, Malepeai is a teacher.
In the 2008 and 2009 legislative sessions, Richard Sagness served as an official substitute for Malepeai who has taken a leave to care for his wife during an illness.[1].
In April of 2009, Malepeai's wife died after enduring a long illness[2].

Malepeai had no opposition in the May 25 primary. He ran against Terry Andersen in the general election on November 2, 2010, defeating him.[4]

On November 4, 2008, Democrat Edgar Malepeai won re-election to the Idaho State Senate, District 30 receiving 12,815 votes. He ran unopposed.[5]
