Jelinski ran for election to the Waupaca County Circuit Court.
Primary: He was defeated in the primary on February 18, 2014, receiving 22.3 percent of the vote. He competed against Brenda Starr Freeman, Keith A. Steckbauer and Vicki Taggatz Clussman. [1]

2011

Jelinski ran again for a seat on the Winnebago County Circuit Court in 2011. He won 34.5 percent of the vote in the primary, advancing him to the general election. He was defeated by Daniel Bissett on April 5, receiving only 43 percent of the vote.[2][3] [4]

2010

Jelinski ran for a seat on the Winnebago County Circuit Court in 2010. He won enough votes in the February 16 primary to move forward to the Spring Election on April 6, 2010 and was opposed by John Jorgensen.[5] Jelinski lost the election with 8,724 votes to Jorgensen's 10,525.[6]
