Edward Beers Thomas (1848-1929) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He joined the court in 1898 after an appointment from William McKinley. At the time of his appointment, he was a judge on the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Second District. He resigned on December 31, 1906. He passed away on March 27, 1929.[1]

Thomas was nominated by President William McKinley on February 7, 1898 to a seat vacated by Asa Wentworth Tenney. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 15, 1898, and received commission that same day. He resigned on December 31, 1906.[1] Thomas was succeeded in this position by Thomas Chatfield.
