Edward G. Bryant is a former federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. He was first appointed to this position on December 15, 2008, and retired on February 28, 2019.[1][2]

Education

Judge Bryant earned his undergraduate and his law degree from the University of Mississippi.[3]

Career

Judge Bryant joined the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps after law school. After serving as a Captain with the Army, he became a U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee in 1991. In 1993, he joined the law firm of Waldrop and Hall, P.A., where he later became a partner. He served as a U.S. Congressman for the 7th District from 1995 to 2003 and then returned to Waldrop and Hall until his judicial appointment in 2008.[3][4]
