Edward Franz
Edward Franz was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 17 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Biography
Franz's professional experience includes working as an employee for General Electric for the past 28 years.[1]

2014
In an article with the Herald (dead link), Franz said that his campaign would focus on the following issues:[1]
- Excerpt: "I will campaign against excessive regulations that increase the cost of doing business in Pennsylvania that kills jobs. Pennsylvanians need jobs in every sector from agriculture to industry. As a state representative, I will work to make PA business friendly."
- Excerpt: "I will be a watchdog and make sure that Lottery proceeds continue to pay for senior citizens’ rent/property tax refunds and PACE programs, and would oppose any legislation that would siphon money from those funds."
- Excerpt: "I will revisit the broken promises of property tax relief. When this legislation was passed by the Rendell Administration, Pennsylvania homeowners were promised they would see their property taxes cut by 30 percent and replaced with gambling revenues."

Elections for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Wayne Hanson defeated Dennis Patrick Webber in the Democratic primary, while Parke Wentling defeated Gary Temple, David George Biros, Patrick James Gehrlein and Edward Franz in the Republican primary. Wentling defeated Hanson in the general election.[2][3][4]
