Campaign themes
2016
Fuller issued the following statement regarding his bid for office:
“ | Why am I running? I see this as an opportunity to do something instead of complaining. I believe I can provide new perspectives and ideas to legislators in Sacramento. I will work judiciously to stop them from telling you, in ever minute detail, how you will live your lives. As an individual who has personally signed income tax checks to the state I understand that it is your money the state is spending. I hope to get you the very best value for it.
My number one goal if elected will be to repeal the Housing Element requirement of local General Plans. This has been Sacramento’s way of shoving growth on local communities whether they like it or not. Now they not only want local communities to plan for low income housing but to make sure it gets built! Local communities should have local control. If you want to grow, great. If you don’t, then so be it. It will be my chief objective to keep Sacramento from jamming 10 million more people in our state. The condition of the state’s roads rank 44th worst in the nation. A dollar spent today on repairs can save ten in years to come. The state government has been raiding the transportation fund to balance the budget. These moneys need to be returned and put to use now. We need to make maintaining our infrastructure one of the states highest priorities so it doesn’t crumble before our eyes. [7] |
