Edward Gaidry
Edward J. "Jimmy" Gaidry was a judge on the Louisiana Court of Appeal First Circuit. He served on the court from 2002 until his retirement on December 31, 2012.[1][2][3]
Education
Judge Gaidry graduated from Louisiana State University, and then the LSU law school and received his J.D. in 1967.[2][4]
Career
Judge Gaidry has worked as a Houma City Court judge ad hoc, a city attorney, an assistant city attorney and an attorney for the Houma-Terrebonne Airport Commission. He also worked in the District Attorney's Office as an assistant district attorney and special prosecutor before his election to the bench in 1984. That year, he became a district court judge in the City of Houma ( Terrebonne Parish, 32nd Judicial District). He held this position until his appointment to the Court of Appeals in 2002 where he served until 2012.[2]
