Edward Gallegos
Edward "Eddy" Gallegos was a judge for the San Miguel County Magistrate Court in New Mexico. He was appointed to the court in August 2013 by Governor Susana Martinez (R).[1] He was defeated in his bid for a full term on the court in 2014 and stepped down at the end of his term.[2]
Education
Gallegos received his undergraduate degree from New Mexico Highlands University in 1992 and his J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2005.[1]
Career
At the time of his appointment to the bench, Gallegos was an attorney engaged in private practice. He has previously served as senior trial attorney for the Fourth Judicial District.[1]

Gallegos ran for election to the San Miguel County Magistrate Court.
Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 3, 2014.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 27.2 percent of the vote. He competed against Christian E. Montano.
