Edward J. Cleary is a former judge of the Minnesota Court of Appeals, from the Fourth Congressional District. He was appointed to the court by Governor Mark Dayton (D) in 2011 and elected to the court in 2014. Cleary retired April 30, 2020.[1]

Cleary served as chief judge of the court of the court from November 1, 2013 until his retirement on April 30, 2020.[2][3][4]

Cleary previously served as a judge on the Minnesota Second Judicial District.

Education

Cleary received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis in 1974 and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1977.[5]
