Edward McFerrin

Harris Edward McFerrin was the presiding judge of Circuit 2 in Alabama (Butler, Crenshaw and Lowndes counties).[1][2] He was appointed to the court in 1992 by Governor Guy Hunt and retired from the court December 31, 2010.[3][4]
On October 31, 2016, Judge McFerrin was selected as one of seven retired judges to sit in place of the recused justices of the Alabama Supreme Court to hear the appeal of Chief Justice Roy Moore of his permanent suspension by the Alabama Court of the Judiciary.[5]
Education
Judge McFerrin received his bachelor's degree from Samford University and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. He was admitted to the practice of law on September 4, 1969.[2][6]
Career
McFerrin joined the court in 1992 and won election in 1995, 2001, and 2007.[4]
